4K UHD - This sports drama takes us back to the cinematic universe of Rocky Balboa, the greatest boxer in film history. Creed tells the story of Adonis Johnson, the illegitimate son of Rocky's old rival/friend Apollo Creed. Troubled by the legacy of his late father, Adonis went into the professional world instead of boxing.
But the ring calls to him from his white-collar job, and Adonis travels to Philly in the hopes of being trained by Rocky. Rocky initially wants no part of it. But when a huge match presents itself, Adonis and Rocky hit the gym hard - each man driven by different ambitions toward the same goal.
A definite departure from the absurdity of later Rocky movies, Creed is an affecting drama more about loss than it is a feel-good, underdog sports flick.
