The Iguazu hanging light in a natural look, made from sustainable jute The Iguazu hanging light brings the beauty of nature into the room. Its lampshade is made entirely from jute, a natural fibre that is considered particularly robust, highly elastic and tear-resistant. Jute is the second most widely cultivated plant fibre after cotton.
It is grown without fertiliser; the plants are grown from seed and can be harvested after just 4 to 6 months. Thanks to these sustainable characteristics, the material is ideally suited to the sustainable, conscious lighting collection from the Good & Mojo brand, launched by the Dutch manufacturer IT'S ABOUT ROMI. The aim is to create lighting that leaves as small an ecological footprint as possible whilst also making a positive difference.
For example, through the partnership with Eden Projects, one tree is planted for every light sold, and through support for the WakaWaka Foundation, solar products are made available to people living off the grid. Due to the nature of the lampshade, the light is diffused all round, whilst it illuminates a surface such as a table directly through the lower opening. Iguazu blends harmoniously with natural-style interiors.
